A very special quiltmaker, Donna Hilley is a Delta Air Lines retiree, who worked in Atlanta Reservations for 25-1/2 years. In 2009, she started making dog and cat blankets and quilts when her little toy poodle Peppie had eye problems and she did not want to leave him. She gave the blankets to humane societies, animal shelters, rescue groups and many organizations. Now she is helping Lutheran Church Charities – Comfort Dogs. She says: “This has been a wonderful experience! Peppie died of cancer in 2011 and now I have sweet Buddy to help me. Rescue Me magazine wrote an article about me.”
